A community that believes in ‘Sadguru’ wanted to respect him constructing  a temple for him in Surat. This temple is the result of their Love and Faith. Religious spaces are more about emotional engagement than functional performance. The concept/ philosophy of worship translating into expected performance resolves architecture accordingly. The sequence of ascending steps and platforms, rising volumes of ‘Shikharas’, increasing degree of enclosure and the transition from semi open, multi directional pavilions to the unidirectional sanctum enclosed by solid walls. All heighten progresses in a temple. This sense of transcendence to celestial is further enhanced by the culmination of the horizontal planes of the platform into a vertical axis through tall pointed ‘shikharas’ symbolically pointing towards the heaven.
